Q: Does Texas Old Town have a ceremony site?
A: Yes, both indoor and outdoor. Please visit our 'Facilities' web page to view available ceremony sites. Chairs can also be provided upon request.

Q: Does the indoor facility have air conditioning and heating?
A: Definitely-Air conditioning is a must in Texas!

Q: How long do we get to use the facilities?
A: 8 AM to 12 AM

Q: Does Texas Old Town have dressing rooms for the bridal party?
A: Yes, Texas Old Town has a pair of dressing rooms for each reception hall. Please visit our 'Facilities' web page to view the dressing rooms.

Q: Does Texas Old Town have overnight accommodations?
A: No, but hotels are just down the road in San Marcos and Buda.

Q: In case of inclement weather, can the ceremony be moved inside the reception hall?
A: Certainly! Always come prepared for this-you can never predict Texas weather.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: No, only if medical reasons dictate otherwise.

Q: How far in advance should we reserve a date for our event?
A: To ensure availability, an event should be scheduled 12 months in advance.

Q: Where do our guests park?
A: All vehicles must park in the designated parking lots with exception of the bride & groom, handicapped guests and during inclement weather.

Q: What is provided at the ceremony site?
A: Chairs, CD Player, Keyboard, Wireless Microphone, and an amplifier are available upon request.

Q: Do you provide tables, chairs, and linens for the reception hall?
A: Tables and chairs only.

Catering Services
Q: Are dishes, silverware, and glasses provided with the meal?
A: If Texas Old Town is the caterer, a basic restaurant setting is provided. If a third party caterer is requested, the dishes, silverware, and glasses need to be provided by others.

Q: Are cake plates provided?
A: Please furnish your choice of cake plates and forks.

Q: Are third party caterers permitted?
A: Of course! You are free to choose your caterer. Be careful though, Aunt Sissy may be a great cook, but cooking for 200 guests can be quite overwhelming. We recommend using professional and experienced caterers.

Q: Can other caterers use the kitchen?
A: The kitchen is only available for food preparation and warming-not cooking or baking.

Entertainment Services
Q: How much control do we have over the live band or DJ?
A: Please coordinate a reasonable schedule with the band or DJ to satisfy both your needs and the needs of the band and/or DJ.

Q: Are other bands and/or DJ's permitted?
A: Of course! You are free to choose your entertainer.

Q: May other DJ's & bands use Texas Old Town's sound equipment?
A: No. If they are a legitimate band our DJ they will want to use their equipment.

Decorations
Q: Can we decorate how we choose?
A: Yes, however some limitations exist-paper confetti, unprotected candles, silk flower petals and nails in the wall are not permitted.

Q: What can be tossed in the air for the bride & groom's departure?
A: Rice, birdseed, organic flower petals, bubbles, sparklers, etc.

Q: Are fireworks allowed?
A: Yes. Please be courteous to our neighbors and schedule the fire works prior to 10 PM.

Q: Can we come to decorate the day before the event?
A: Yes, as long as the facility is not reserved for that day. Please verify availability three (3) weeks prior to your event.

Q: May we take engagement or bridal pictures at Texas Old Town prior to our event?
A: Yes. Please coordinate your photo shoot with Texas Old Town.

Alcohol
Q: Can alcohol be served at Texas Old Town?
A: Yes, please contact 'Texas Ritas' to obtain a TABC licensed and insured bartender. 'BYOB' is not permitted.

Vendors
Q: Must the bride use Texas Old Town's recommended vendors?
A: No with one expception--the bartender. All other vendors are just recommendations of trusted wedding professionals.

Prices, Payments & Deposits
Q: What is the payment schedule for reserving a date at Texas Old Town?
A: A 25% non-refundable down payment is required at the time of reservation. The remaining 75% is due the Monday prior to the event.

Q: Is a security deposit required?
A: No, we hope you and your guests will take good care of our facilities.

Q: Is gratuity expected?
A: No, but you are more than welcome!

Q: What are the prices for facility rental?
A: Prices vary depending on quantity of people, type of event and day of the week. Please call or visit to determine pricing.

Q: What are the prices for catering services?
A: BBQ or Fajita meal - $10.00 per person plus tax.

Q: What are the prices for the entertainment services?
A: TOT Band - $750; TOT DJ - $350
