The Big Exit: Wedding Transportation

Looking for another way to make a lasting impression on your wedding day? Start to consider what kind of wheels you’ll be making your grand exit (or entrance) in! The Knot presented a collection of pictures giving us ideas on where to hang those “Just Married” signs. Take a look at a few of the ways these couples made their first exit as husband and wife:

Vintage Thunderbird
This couple drove away in a turquoise vintage Thunderbird loaned to them by the groom’s parents.
01

Trolley Transportation
This seems to be an exceedingly popular theme, taking your wedding party in an open air trolley through the streets to the reception, not bad!
02

Antique Buick
Why not ride in the pinnacle of luxury for your first ride as husband and wife?
03

Ranch Wedding
This bridal party looks straight out of the Oregon Trail on the covered wagon ride to the wedding site!
04

Golf Cart Exit This couple is crazy FORE! each other. Sorry, I had to!
05

Bicycle Transportation
This couple had a bike themed wedding, so the groom surprised his bride with pedicabs to bike them and their families around for photographs after the ceremony.
06

Gondola Ride
These newlyweds hopped aboard a Venetian-style black gondola. To pair with the elegance guests waited on a bridge above to shower them with delicate pink rose petals. Adorable.
07

Retro Motorcycle
This couple left their reception on the groom’s father’s retro bike. Guests waited with sparklers creating truly magical pictures!
08

Lime Green Party Bus
This bridal party made their fashionable entrance to the reception in a lime green party bus! Not necessarily the most romantic choice, but just plain fantastic anyway!
09

Dukes of Hazzard
Having dreamed of owning his very own car like the one from Dukes of Hazzard, this groom finally got one just before the wedding. It would have been improper for him NOT to whisk of his bride by putting her through the window like Bo and Luke, right?
10

Sailboat Exit
Looks like smooth sailing from here for this couple!
11

…And of course, we have the always classic horse and carriage. Elegant, classy and romantic; what better way to start your very own fairytale?
